Week 4 (already?) of TAST - Take A Stitch Tuesday- is completed. I chose the complimentary colors of blue and orange to experiment with this week. Some of the stitching looks almost yellow, but it is a light orange which would be evident if you could see it next to yellow. It is so amazing to me how colors can affect one another. Using complimentary colors will add vibrancy to anything you do - painting, beading, stitching, decorating...
I am really having fun with my tags. I started off just 'playing' with the stitch allover in a variety of colors and have now settled into creating an icon of sorts on the lower half of the tag and playing on the top. So far I have been able to create a fill with each stitch as well as a border. Experimenting with color also now keeps it even more interesting.
I am part of a very supportive study group over at Tuesday Stitchers. We each post our weekly progress at scheduled times on Saturday and Sunday. We are participating in TAST and/or CQJP 2012 and also post works in progress from time to time. I would like to invite you to stop over for a visit and we welcome your comments as well! Also, don't forget you can click on the designated link on my sidebar to learn more about the projects.

I have always liked these colors together. You're very creative in using the stitches each week too.
Nicely done, Connie! I'm going to have to get working on mine today. :-0
Connie what great examples of the stitch. Those colours are always great together.Your work is so neat and I love the idea of the tags.
Cretan is one of my favorite stitches Connie, love the sampler so far!
This is so fun to watch...all of these different stitches are wonderful, I've never even heard of this one but it's really cool...I love how you're 'sketching' with thread!
