Definitions

I decided it would be fun to begin a series of posts called 'Definitions'. As I was posting this, however, I thought I really should share an image or link to go along with the word. My first word is TORSADE. Generally a torsade is a French word which means twisting. It apparently can be anything such as cording, ribbon, or even hair strands. A piece of jewelry referred to as a TORSADE is a necklace made of multiple strands that are twisted together and normally finished off with a clasp...any strands of jewelry that can be worn twisted. You can either Google the word or follow the link here to see examples of jewelry TORSADES. I have not yet made one, but maybe I will have to do that one of these days.

Hey Connie, thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - for those personal touches you talk about - go to my blog and at the top left hand side you will see 'Shabbyblogs.com' - just click on it and it will take you to a blog that offers these lovely backgrounds for free - you can choose whichever one you like and then paste it into your blog through 'customise' section :D
