Happy Easter and Magical Beads

My wish for you all is a happy, memorable and Blessed Easter. Most of my family is out of town, so it will just be my DH, MIL and Mom. We decided to keep it simple and go out to dinner. Since my DH has to work on Sunday (that's just not right!) we will be celebrating on Saturday night. I still remember when we would have a huge family dinner - on Easter - with plenty of food. The kids would all gather for a traditional Easter egg hunt. I recall one year I boiled some eggs for my kids to hunt for on Easter before the family got together. They had so much fun that they would take turns alternating with each other hunting and hiding the eggs. One would hide them and the other find them and then they switched. I think it entertained them all afternoon! Needless to say, the eggs were not so appealing after all that handling~lol. I really miss all of that but I'm so grateful to have a wonderful family close by the rest of the year.

I also have to show you these fun beads that I bought at Rings & Things. Do you remember the 'mood rings' from maybe the 60s? I was so fascinated with them and still do not know how or why the colors would change. Well, these are beads that change color with your body temperature. R&T has several sizes and shapes, but I really liked these. The larger size of this bead shows off the colors and patterns perfectly.

Purple seems to be the color that results from the most heat. Since it is my favorite color, I guess I need to be hot all the time to keep them that color. I am having so much fun playing with these. I have no idea what I am going to make with them, but whatever it is will be fun to wear.

Many blessings to all of you!
Connie

Love the beads....the patterns ARE beautiful. And YES, I remember mood rings. Johnny Carson had one and then we ALL had to go and get one, too. I think your beads would make a nice bracelet that you could touch often.

Have a nice dinner on Saturday. Gone are the days of hiding baskets and trying to remember where they were before the rabbits melted!

Happy Easter hugs,
Jan
