Sparkly Bead Embroidery

Another project in the works. This is one of those barely started and unfinished projects that "I'll get back to" later. I actually barely had it started. It has been on my shelf just waiting for attention. The bead embroidery is finally completed. The beaded part is about 6" high by 4" wide and is done on a sheer, shimmery fabric. I love how the whole thing sparkles. I'm not sure what I will do with it now, but I am thinking it would make a nice center of interest on a crazy quilt 'something'. I'm hoping it doesn't involve shopping for fabric again! I really need to plan better next time. The sparkly ribbon isn't attached yet. I think if I make this part of a crazy quilt it would be fun to have the ends of the ribbon extend into the surrounding area to kind of pull the piece visually together. The light blue seed beads and sequins came off an old dress from a thrift store.

Beautiful beading. That would make a wonderful focal point of a crazy quilt :)
