Easy to Make Pins to Inspire You

I always enjoy trying something new, so I thought I would share a couple of items I made with you that you might enjoy.

Not quite into full fledged beading but enjoy needlework or just looking for something different and easy to try? The first item is a brooch I made using a beautiful dyed scrap of lace and some ribbon flowers, a few beads and a finding for a pin backing. Very simple project. You can either glue or sew the components. If you don't want to create your own dangles, they can be purchased already assembled as trim in many craft stores.

This is a little better view of it. I apologize for the hanging string. It is no longer there. It's amazing what the camera can pick up on that these tired old eyes of mine don't see.

Have a 'donut' bead that you don't quite know what you want to use it on? It can be turned into a pin as well. It is attached to a piece of suede or other backing. It does require some beading. I added three rings of tiny beads around the outside and sewed some dangles or fringe to fill in the center and wrapped various strands around the donut, added a pin backing and called it finished. It was a fun 'something different' to do.
