Artwork - Drawings

I did get a little bit of drawing in this month so far.

I know I have mentioned the watercolor group I've been part of recently. In case you don't remember or didn't see the post, they submit a photo and everyone that wants to can paint the same image. It is really kind of fun to see the different interpretations. Below is one of the January photos. There were two this month. The other was a boat and it seems most others painted it. I may decide to paint it rather than this one if I have time. I'm sure I won't have time for both.

I haven't managed to get to the painting yet, but did get a pretty good start on a drawing of the truck. I draw pretty light, so it is sometimes difficult to photograph it. I still have a week to paint it, so we'll see how that works out. I also have a quilt block to finish and there will be another stitch to work on Monday.

I'm not very good at finding my way around sites like this and keeping up on conversations going on. I need more time to sit and figure it all out. I really love the user-friendly format of the 'ning' (don't know what else to call them) sites such as Stitchin Fingers. If anyone can give me a few tips on how to manipulate through the Yahoo sites, please do! I would really like to find a watercolor 'ning' site. I'm on three Facebook sites, but they are pretty much limited to submitting photos of your work and commenting on others.

The drawing of the rose is beautiful and you are off to a great start on the picture of the truck and shed. It sounds like a fun challenge!

I wish I could help you on finding more sites...I am not familiar with any that you might be interested in. Good luck though!

XO,
Jane

Very nice sketches. I think it would be such fun to paint all those layers of rust on that old truck.
