Birthday Greetings Project

Thought I would share a few photos of my latest cloth project with you all...

I used an old postcard I had in my stash and copied it onto fabric using the copy machine. Everything used for this project was from my supply closet.

For the hanger I used wired ribbon. I tied a bow in the center and then with the ends I pulled the wires to gather the ribbon and then tied a knot in each end.

The gold tatting is a sample piece I worked up while I was playing one day.

Don't the buttons go great with the flowers on the card!

The beaded fringe was some I had on hand (I have a lot of stuff on hand) and worked great for this project.

I wrapped the loose ends of the ribbon around the knots...kind of like tying up loose ends. They sort of look like a ribbon flower don't they? I was going to add large buttons in the corners but feel this looks better.

I just have batting between the layers to help hold its shape, otherwise it is pretty flat.

This is gorgeous and I do love the buttons for that added touch.
