Nothing like a storm and power outage to realize how much we take for granted. I automatically turn on the lights when I walk in a room and think to myself what a nut I am - no power, no lights no matter how many times I flip the switch. I tried stitching on my crazy quilt with what little day light I had but figured I would have to tear it out when I could actually see what I had done, so I gave up on that. So we just sat in the dark on the couch and talked.

We got a pretty bad storm last night too....came from your direction before it hit K.C. Luckily our power didn't go out!
The little town I live in (burb of KC) sits on the Missouri River. The river has flooded the beautiful riverside park and the water, like you said, is not expected to recede until fall. The park is full of big old trees and I'm afraid to think of what the trees and the park will look like when the river goes back to a normal stage. It is a bad situation up and down the river!!
Hope you have a good weekend....enjoy the sunshine!

Wow...that is some big hail! We haven't had a lot of storms this summer, but the few we've had have been violent. I wonder why?
I hope you have a wonderful day, Connie!
XO,
Jane

Oh my goodness, that is some big hail! Must have made a racket! Out here in the PNW large pea size hail is as big as it gets. Wow!
