Latest Creation to Dress Up the Table

Has it really been that long since I last posted on here? I have been such a busy little bee trying to get items in my shop. It takes more time than I had imagined. I actually do need to learn to manage my time better. Am I the only one that gets on my computer and opens my Dashboard to post only to be sidetracked reading other blogs instead of updating my own? I'm terrible!!! I've mentioned before that I am a goal person, so I am making a list of things to get done with deadlines for completing them.

I wanted to share these little baskets (for lack of a better word) I have put together. I just added a bunch to my ArtFire shop. The little green containers were toothpick holders. I decided to dress them up with some beads and trim. Each one is different.

Isn't it amazing what a little lace and silk flower can make, and so easy!

Above is one of the sets I put together without the lace and flowers. Below the same set with the added florals.

Here they are on the table along with some of the aprons from my ArtFire shop used as placemats. As reference, these are luncheon plates.

I really like them with the lace and silk flowers, but think they would also be great for those picks often used on buffet tables for picking up fruit chunks, cheese pieces, etc. I also think they would work well for nuts and/or mints. I don't know how food safe all the pieces and parts are, so I would first wrap the treats in a circle of tulle or tissue or something, even a paper doily, to be safe. Cinnamon sticks would fit nicely in these also, for your tea or cocoa.

I love how the colors all work together even though each is different.

I guess I get bored with predictable 'sameness' and enjoy the vintage feel of these scattered

around the table.

These plates and the metal rose napkin rings are some I designed at the company I used to work for. I wanted the plates in the set to have four different colors of airbrushed rims (pink, blue, green and lavender) but the decision was made to go with all blue. I saw the pink edged ones and would have chosen those over blue, but wasn't given the option. Oh well. The crystals visible in the photo below will be the next thing I will be adding to my shop.

I even like them just as little ornaments or small gift holder for a small necklace...or money! I could really see these dressing up a luncheon table for a garden party or tea party. I would love to hear your thoughts!

It is nearing dinner time here and I have been promising my DH rhubarb dessert all week, so I better get moving. We have had sunshine and super nice temps most of the week - meaning I haven't wanted to spend my time in the kitchen. I have been getting some yard work done and managed a couple of nice bicycle rides. I just love this time of year! I'm going to go manage my time now. Have a wonderful week!

By the way, I am linking up with Kristen over at Kristen's Creations Online (HERE) for the 2nd Show and Sell Party! Go see what it is all about!

These are so lovely Connie! What great little creations that would look so pretty on a tea table or sitting in window sill reflecting the light.

Hi Connie,
Your baskets are very pretty. I love the beaded handles. I agree with the commenter above that they would look very pretty reflecting light on a windowsill.
And yes, I easily get sidetracked reading blogs instead of posting. So much to read!!
Have a great weekend.
