My friend sent me this great Will Rogers quote the other day. I really enjoyed it so I thought I would share it with you. "I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top".
I just have to say right off that I cannot believe the thoughtfulness of people! I just finished putting up my Christmas tree yesterday when the mail carrier knocked on the door with a parcel for me. Totally unexpected - often the best kind! I quickly opened the package to find these beautiful fabric scraps and a packet of tiny beads. Mary Anne sent them to me with a nice note which read "Some stash enhancement to your stash from mine". She is a crazy quilter I really admire and just a creative and generous person all around. I have been working on a new CQ project. I transferred one of my paintings onto fabric to use as the focal piece. First I converted the painting into monochromatic blue on a white background. It is an image of the home my great grandfather from England built, the home my grandparents lived in their entire lives, the home my mother grew up in and a home I have always loved, full of lots of memories. This project is certainly a labor of love.
I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
