Crazy Quilt Block No. 2

I just finished piecing together the start of another Crazy Quilt block. This one which is about 14" x 15", is larger than my first block which was roughly 8" x 9". I must really be in the mood for Fall because the colors I gravitated toward when pulling fabrics for this were the rich, warm colors. The image in the center (focal point) is from Pat Winter. The colors worked so well with her reddish hair. Pat Winter's link is below. Be sure to check out her absolutely gorgeous creations!

This is some of the floss and silk ribbon I have chosen for for my block. I also have some beautiful beads and some very special ribbon flowers. They are special because they were a surprise gift from a very special person. The ribbon roses go perfect with these fabrics and I can't wait until I finally get to the point where I can add them as the finishing touch.

Now here is the link to Pat's blog: http://patwintergatherings.blogspot.com/

GEORGEOUS! I LOVE those colors and the centerpiece is perfect.

Hope you are having a wonderful Fall? It got warm again here (in the mid-60's) and is so nice outside!

Hugs,
Jan

Nice block Connie and nice beaded embroidery, very beautiful work. I know what it is to have UFO's (unfinished projects) as I have many, Umm.. if I blogged less more would get done but I'm trying to improve my knowledge and skills in those areas. The creating is the fun and easy part! Hugs and have a great day! Marilou

Connie, I "love" the crazy quilt block! I have a crazy quilt that was made by my great grandmother that is just my very favorite sentimental quilt. My Grandma used to cover me up with it for naptime when I was 5. I am so grateful that I inherited it... Whoever is lucky enough to get the quilt you're working on...this will surely be special to them! Great work! ~CC Catherine
