I love the details in vintage items as I know many of you do as well. The two wooden pieces shown here were originally used to hang draperies. They still have the rings on them but of course the brackets are gone. When I saw them I knew I had to have them, but I wasn't sure why. Although I have had them on my wall for awhile, I thought I would share what I did with them. They work wonderfully to pull together a wall grouping don't you think? I often wonder what their previous owner was like and how they looked in that beautiful stained glass window in that Victorian home. I also think about the gifted craftsman that made them and how weird he/she would think it was to not use them for their intended purpose -lol. Little did they know!
Now, as to one of my previous posts...
My plea for answers concerning Inventory and Taxes when starting a craft business turned up more of us with questions than answers. There were a few with helpful answers, but I still had questions, so I decided to do a little snooping on the Internet. Below is a link that appears to be a source for answers to all of our business questions. Although I still haven't found what I need to know about doing inventory on all the bits and pieces I have accumulated over the years, I'm thinking I may start a forum on the question and see where that leads. I've signed up for the newsletter and thought I would share the link with all of you.

I love the wood pieces, Connie, they sort of look like trumpets. You made a beautiful wall arrangement!

How very creative with your find sweet Connie!! Great link too! I would start a forum if I were you! I think it's needed!! Someone got arrested here for fraud and to top that off (even though she was very naughty to her Etsy buyers) she didn't have a license or tax id. EEK!
Have a wonderful weekend!
