I've started a couple of additional crazy quilt blocks.
The first one is created using bits of upholstery fabric. I haven't made up my mind yet as to what I will do with the solid ivory block in the center. Ideas?
You may think I have returned to CQJP 2012 with this block since it is the same fabrics and some of the same images used on my blocks. This one is going to have a different function however and is being created for someone very special.
Below are my blocks including one I am working on for CQJP 2013 - February. Yes, I am working on 3 very different sizes and looks. The variation achieved by working in different sizes is interesting as is the technique and thought process. Amazingly the four smaller blocks are much more intense and require more stitching than the largest block.
My larger block is about 21 1/2" square. I'm not sure what I will do with it when it is finished. The middle size block will end up roughly 9 3/4" H x 8" Wide. You have probably guessed by now that the smaller block is pretty small. It is going to be about 3" - 3 1/2" square which is why I am doing four of them to meet the 6" x 6" minimum. I hope to turn the smaller blocks into a doll size quilt using maybe the first six months blocks. I don't have particular plans for the remaining small blocks but do have some ideas jotted down. It is really too early to commit on that. This variety is keeping things interesting!
I am also getting anxious to pick up my paints again, so maybe I will add even more variety.

Your blocks are beautiful and are quite the blank canvas for your stitching. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
Love those colors in the first one Connie. LUSH!!!!! Your asking me for ideas? HA!!! Your way ahead of me GF in this department. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Connie you are so organised with your blocks. A bit of variety is good, think I might get bored with mine as they are all much the same.
Love the ivory block in the centre I am sure you will make a real feature of it.
What about repeating one of the flowers (in the adjacent fabric) in embroidery on the white center block? All the blocks look lovely.
Hi Connie, I get so envious when people do these wonderful crazy quilt blocks, cause I would'nt know where to start LOL !!!
sHAME YOU CANT BUY READY MADE BLOCKS SO THAT i COULD JUST EMBROIDER THEM !!!

I like that large block. The aubergine fabric at the bottom resembles exactly one of the fabrics in my violets quilt. The ivory block: aubergine lace on top of it, the first thing that comes to my mind.
Connie, this looks like A FUN line up of blocks! I shall be watching with much interest to see all your stitching!
Beautiful blocks - it will be fun to see what you do with each.
