Well, I haven't had a lot of spare time to work on my 12-block mini quilt which I started...well...let's just say quite a while back. I like to begin my blocks by stitching over all the seams. That's just my personal preference. I have finally accomplished that part of this
CQ project. As I said, there are 12 blocks and each is roughly 6 1/2" square. I used pretty basic stitches and tried to vary the stitches and floss colors on each block.
Those 12 blocks are now stacked and set aside while I do some other prep work.
Below is the first part of that process. When folded this little handkerchief is about 1" square. I first stitched a monogram and may yet add a little more decoration on either side of the 'E'. I then cut out a 2" square so the 'E' was centered in the corner and then hand-stitching lace around the edges of the square. Let me tell you, that was one tiny 'E' to stitch!
On to the next addition for this
CQ project. I am so excited about it! I think you will figure out what I'm up to if you follow along as I go. Any guesses? I just hope it turns out the way I envision it.

Although the block are new, they have such a great vintage look to them. The hankie is amazing, such delicate fine workmanship.
