First off, I wanted to remind you that tomorrow is the last day to enter my drawing. The link is on my sidebar if you are still interested.
I have been working (and I use that term loosely as this is more fun than work) on my Crazy Quilt block. I have torn out sections and reworked them. My first stitching was the butterflies. I tore them out because I had used too many threads and felt like they looked bulky. I cut down the thread count to three or four strands and they still don't look quite like I want them, so I think they will get another redo. I spent last Saturday with my granddaughters and they loved helping by pulling threads through for me. I have to share what one of them said because it was just too cute. She asked if we could add more "sprinkles". That's what she called the little sparkly beads. You can tell she has helped her mom decorate cookies and cupcakes - lol.
Although I am really, really enjoying this project, it is wreaking havoc on my dining room table. I keep pulling things from my sewing/computer room and my studio out back to use on this project. I find I want to work on it in the early morning in my easy chair while enjoying those first cups of coffee or after dinner in front of the TV. I have also pulled out the boxes from the closet in my sewing room of embroidery floss, ribbons and lace. I have not put them back yet. For those of you who follow my organizing blog too, I can only say "Do as I say, not as I do". Actually my studio is clean and I will return the embellishments to their proper place when I finish this piece. One just can't be too neat in the middle of a project...right?
Hopefully I will be able to finish this up soon and get some better photos to share with you. It is overcast today and my photos aren't the best.

Oh, my spot looks the same. I did manage to clean out a small chest next to my blogging, coffee drinking chair to put my CQ supplies for my current poject. I have rummaged through everything in my work room finding embellishments. Too funny we have the same mess.

My dining room table looks the same.I like the light in there and seem to gravitate there all the time. My studio needs some organization so I am off to check out your other blog.
This is just lovely. I can only imagine what the quilt will look like when it's finished.
My dining table is always Command Central! It seems I can work here and stay in touch with the whole family. I tidy up about every leap year! ;-D

Your block is looking really good. As for your work space?....well...welcome to my world!! I simply can't do any CQ without hauling everything out and having it closeby for inspiration. I think it's because crazy quilting can use so many different elements - threads (of various sorts); beads; old jewellry; and on and on.
Your block is wonderful! And don’t worry about the, um, CREATIVE CHAOS. That’s how crazy quilting works best! Yes, I’ve seen your lovely studio from your other blog. My first though was ... she’s NOT a crazy quilter, LOL!! BTW, check out the Crazy Quilting International (CQI) blog (http://crazyquiltinginternational.blogspot.com) for some great eye candy.
Hugs, Cathy

Connie, you have some real pretties posted on your blog! And that's not a mess...that's a playroom! ;-)
Hugs, Diane
