It says 'hand painted RELCO or AELCO creation - Japan' on the bottom of both pieces.
It even has a sweet little violet inside the cup to enjoy as you are sipping tea.

I too am featuring violets on my tea cups today as were a few other girls. Great mind must think alike.LOL I love footed teacups they always look so elegant.
