I have been furiously working to complete a project to enter in a contest I just recently found out about. I just finished submitting my entry and now I'm out fishing for votes. If you like my design I would really appreciate it if you would follow the link and vote for my entry.

The one below shows a little more of the chain and crocheted wire.
As is usual in my jewelry design, I have incorporated components from cast away and damaged jewelry along with some new pieces. The product from Delphi that I used is this diamond shaped mesh. I had not used it before and I really like it. The Acanthus shaped pieces on either side are old earrings. I removed the clips and reshaped the wires to fit the design. The center medallion is a section of a broken bracelet. The leaf shaped piece on top of it and the rhinestones surrounding the oval are pieces removed from another old (and really tacky) pair of earrings. The leaf shaped piece was painted in purple, green and amber using transparent glass and metal stain to make it more coherent with the overall piece. It was silver colored. The larger rhinestone at the base of the heart shape had fallen out of an old brooch. The heart hangs from a mix of crocheted wire and copper chain.
I must say it was a fun piece to create and I can't wait to try more items using this mesh. I do hope if you like it you will take the time to vote for me!
Thanks so much! Connie
