Decided to share some of my flowers on this post. These are my peonies from last year. I am really looking forward to this years blooms! They are one of my favorite flowers.

It looks like it has been almost a week since my last post so I thought I would just stop in to let you know I'm still here and give excuses. It has been beautiful weather in Iowa and I have been enjoying the outdoors after a long and bitter winter! I have also been working on another painting I hope to finish up soon and I am in the midst of creating a new necklace out of rusty found objects. It is coming along nicely. I just need to get back to my studio.

Since I completed my April challenge so quickly I have been looking through my clippings to choose a challenge for May. I have started Peyote projects in the past and seem to give up on them rather quickly. Beading Daily has offered a free pattern for beginner's rings done in Peyote so I am choosing that stitch for May. Most people that do bead weaving seem to prefer Peyote, but since I began weaving by teaching myself the Brick stitch, it became my favorite.
