TAST - Knotted Buttonhole Stitch

This weeks stitch seems awfully familiar.  It is the Knotted Buttonhole Stitch.

I had to figure out a new way to create a tree and decided this week I would incorporate some rick rack.
I also worked on a border using two rows of the knotted buttonhole stitch facing each other.

This is the 4th version of buttonhole we have done this year.  Below are my previous tags.

Oops...I forgot this one, the Crossed Buttonhole!

Yes, I agree that this stitch had that "same old, same old" feeling about it.
But I must say that you have excelled in creativity with using the stitch on your ric-rac tree. I am so impressed Connie. You have taken this stitch to new lengths. Beautiful job.

Very pretty, Connie! I'm afraid I only know the basic cross stitch and French knots so I'm definitely not in your league! But I do love coming to your blog to see what you are up to! :)

such imagination with the ric rac, they might be similar stitches but you have a great variety of samples.

So many varieties of Buttonhole.
It is always a pleasure to see what you create Connie.
The use of ric rac is inspirational - I'll not throw out my scraps anymore.

Your little ric-rac tree with the knotted buttonhole stitching is very cute. How clever of you to add some dimension beyond the stitching. Stitching Bliss...

It's such fun to see how you incorporate each stitch into your tree theme - this one is particularly inspired.
