TAST - Stem Stitch

OK, this first one is not the Stem Stitch.  I went back to my 2nd week tag and added a couple of little trees.  It was the only stitch so far with which I hadn't attempted a tree of some sort.  Now that is out of my system.

Below is my (pretty much blank) tag for the week.  I didn't have time to experiment with a bunch of versions of this stitch but instead tried using yarn.  Both the name and the tree on this tag is created entirely with the Stem stitch.  As with all my tags, I will add to them in the future when I want to experiment with a new use of a stitch or as I find a technique I want to try.  This will be an ever evolving resource for me.

At first look I didn't think you'd done your tree on the buttonhole sample but then I saw it, right beside the windmill that had definitely caught my eye.

As always,I love seeing your different stitches, it really is the greatest resource. Will you bind them in some way or put them all on a ring? Love the stem stitch!
